I report, you decide..... :biggrin5:
I did turn them where I could read them tho.....
Actually, this is a new fuse panel I bought from Victoria British and I'm going to return it, the tangs have no pressure on the fuses at all, they're positively loose in there.....this is the second or third part I've bought from them that was cheaply or poorly made. Gotta watch this stuff......
Everything I've gotten from MiniSport has been good stuff, and I bought another fuse panel from English Parts.com that was an actual Lucas part, and it was made well.
If you're looking for parts for older English cars, call Jeanne at English Parts.com (866-467-1776) - she knows her stuff and their prices were better than anyone else I've found online - she doesn't sell Mini parts per se, but most anything for an A series crosses over - I also got my rocker shaft from her.

Ok ok you caught me! I don't read the articles I was just looking at the pictures. :blush2:
But I was thinking put heat shielding around the fuel line also to be safe.

Ya know a nice run up to Mid-Ohio for the vintage weekend would help sort out any glitches too....
Just sayin.-

It's been a long time, but all my parts came from the International Parts Store here in town. You may have to search a bit, but for me it was a good pump.
I found them listed at NAPA & Autozone also carries them I believe.

When you get back from Mini meet east you may want to investigate a Petronix unit. I had one on my last MG & it was great. If you swap in a Petronix make sure to carry all the parts to switch it back if needed. You will never need the spares you carry.
Enjoy your drive Dave, you've earned it.-

Today I made a camera mount so I could get some video along the way, after one of our Mini guys lost his GoPro camera to one of those suction cup mounts, I prefer something more solid....and inside where it won't be as easy to steal. It does limit the views I suppose but I think there should be plenty of others taking vids too.
Don's taking his Quad for some aerial shots too.....should be fun!
Today I'm going to finish tidying up the interior, give it a good vacuum - I'm not going to bother washing it as it's raining again today and I would not be surprised if we got some wet on the way up either - but I'll clean all the windows on the inside at least. We get in Thursday evening and there's not a lot scheduled for Friday, so I'm planning on using that day to get polished up for the car show - we're supposed to have indoor parking and wash facilities at the hotel.
I'm still tweaking on the ride height in the front, still a bit Baja pre-runner looking right now. I'm also still looking for the sources of some of the rattles in the dash, I can't believe there are any left as much as I've done - there's not much in there after all! I also need to see if I can find what's wrong with the speedo, I'm sure it's just the cable not seated right but it's such a PITA to get too that it may go unfixed till after we get back - I'll have the Garmin for speed and mileage on the trip - it's easier to see too!
Now that it's driveable, I still find myself trying to climb into the left side door! do you ever get used to driving on the right? Of the 4 cars in our group, 2 are left drive and 2 are right, on the way home we'll have two more joining us, both right drive....where Minis are concerned, the lefties are far outweighed by the home team!-

I got the gauge installed and everything wired up, now I'm on a quest to find an adaptor that will let the sending unit screw into the head, none of the ones that came with the gauge will work. I can get one from Summit racing or a number of other online sources - none local - but I'm going to try a few places around town here first. The Autozone I bought the gauge from said they can't get it.....eeejits.
I got the speedo cable to stay on, I just used a regular screw clamp, seems to hold it just fine.
I also bought a cruise control, courtesy of a certain Ohio MINI/Mini driver!
Weather today in KC - gorgeous! 68* and nice and dry- in the middle of July! I have a shop day with the KC Mini club this Saturday, so today I'm going to take advantage of the cool weather and clean and organize the shop - it needs a good cleaning after 3 months of working on Buzz. It's also a good day to get the Jag a bath and some excersize....-

Interesting problem. I wonder if the water pump is simply cavitating instead of moving water.

I just ordered the suspension parts, they should be here in a few more days....
I have a show to take Buzz to at the end of the month, but after that I'll be dropping the rear subframe and fuel tank, and going thru both. I have an event to drive to in northern Arkansas in mid November so I'll need to get it done by then.
I've been driving it pretty regularly, if it's not above 80* it stays cool enough - so I haven't gone any deeper into the cooling sytem yet. Over the winter I'll get into it further.
More pics once I start work on it again.-
