I've just been lazy, I'm going and taking my classic. Plus I'll be a vendor hopefully doing some pullies, swaybars, tunes and so on.

Oops! Make that 12's for the front -- 8's for rear still.

I'm sorry, but I just cannot understand why there is so little interest about this particular event...the state of the economy be damned. Sure, MME was originally created for the Classic Minis, but then, how many "new" MINIs were around in the days of the Classics? Huh? Well...duhhhh.
I apologize, but, for MINI owners who enjoy showing off their cars...how many "NEW MINI ONLY" events have you attended? I've been showing my MC since '04, in mixed company events. Heck, even the beloved MOTD is a mixed event. Personally, I love going to British Car Day events, just so I can see ALL the British cars as well as give crap to the Rover Mini owners [for letting their manufacturer...aka Rover... go under and allowing BMW to take over]...
For Heaven's sakes, this IS a Mini/MINI event...I'd sure love to see y'all there, too.
