Yep, the weather couldn't have been better for early July.

Here are a few pics from the eastern Iowa crowd.

 

I think the final tally was about 120, split almost evenly between classics and new MINIs.....

Man that Sucks Dave. I think you did the right thing. You have way to much time & money invested to risk it. Try & have fun.

 

Red R59 in the back row, directly in line with the trunk of the tallest tree.

 

I'm pretty sure that pic was taken by a really tall, thin guy with a GoPro on a long rod - while he held it up he worked the camera with his phone - pretty good pic, huh?

Mind you it's not of the same quality as the "official" pic will be, but then it's not $50 either.

Despite not getting Buzz to the event, I had a pretty good time. I re-connected up with folks I met at the last one I attended in 2009 in Winona, and met quite a few new people as well....one of whom is Paul Streiby (sp?) - some of you Ohio folks may know him...... ;-)

Anybody going from Southern California?

 

Isn't this primarily a Classic Mini event?

 

It is, but it is for Classic and new MINIs
