Everyone has black out stuff. I want to be an individual & stand out from the crowd with my chrome bits.
Wouldn't it be boring if we all liked exactly the same thing?
Don't you find it funny that MINI now has black wheels & black Joey mod headlights? Oh & now they sell stubby antennas too. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery they say.-

That's how I rationalize my chrome!
I have to say that I don't entirely get the plastidip thing, though. I mean, I can kind of see its appeal in that it's temporary and there's no commitment involved...maybe I'm just lazy and can't see myself re-doing it over and over again...-

But more often than not, seeing a mini with plasti-dip reminds me many gen1 cars are worth about the same amount as a can of the stuff once the user is done...
Where once owners would spend $500 on mods....now they gripe about spending $15....
Done tastefully it is neat stuff....-

Yeah but too much chrome reminds me of those huge Harley Davidson turns puttering up and down the Dragon doing 5 mph. :mad2:

Plasti-dip is not duct tape, it wont fix everything.
