Chuck, regarding said MAG gift certificate: did I understand correctly that no purchase was necessary to redeem? It seemed to read that way.

The one I received says, "present this gift certificate and receive $25.00 off your next purchase of installed BMW Accessories or BMW Lifestyle Merchandise at MAG BMW".

The wording is, IMHO, tricky, and it reveals [at least to me] that MAG wants you to buy an item first and will then give a $25.00 discount. Their stuff is wayyyy overpriced, anyway. What a crock...:frown2:

Yes that is the way we read it too. Babs bought a flashlight & the $25 coupon reduced the cost by that much.

Do you remember a few years ago when they sent out $100 gift certificates?

All in all still very nice of MAG to send those $25 ones out. I'm not going to look a gift horse in the mouth.

    "Fuel economy city: 25mpg
    Horsepower: 163hp @ 6,000RPM
    Fuel economy highway: 34mpg
    Transmission: 6 speed manual
    Engine liters: 1.6
    Sequential multi-point fuel injection
    Fuel tank capacity: 13.2gal.
    Cylinder configuration: I-4
    Engine location: front
    Recommended fuel: regular unleaded
    Torque: 155 lb.-ft. @ 4,000RPM
    Drive type: front-wheel
    Number of valves: 16
    Compressor: intercooled supercharger"

Did anyone see that they recommend "regular unleaded" for fuel? Shouldn't a dealership be saying to use premium. Or are they talking "regular" as in something else?

Most dealers use third-party software, like DealerTrack, to list their inventory online. With those services, the dealer enters a VIN, and the software comes up with the details, which aren't always complete, or 100-percent right (from my own experience).
