For any of you northern CA / southern OR Mini/ MINI owners that would like to escape the triple digit heat in the valley, please join us for our run to the coast (Eureka) dubbed "Captn' Bob's Pink Thong Run" and hosted by the Shasta Minis, our run will depart Old Shasta (west of Redding) on Friday morning and take us out SR-299 west through Lewiston, Weaverville, Salyer, and lunch at the Trinidad Eatery above the ocean. We will then head to Eureka for a stay at the Best Western Bayshore Inn. On Saturday we will travel to historic Ferndale to roam the victorian homes, antique stores, wine tasting, and ice cream parlors. Many of us will continue down Mattole Valley along the Pacific Coast to Petrolia (Lost Coast) for some sightseeing and then return to Eureka for a "chip-in" dinner of homemade spaghetti , with salad and garlic bread, bring a beverage of your choice. We will have breakfast at the Samoa Cookhouse on Sunday morning, then head to Fortuna and down SR-36 "The Roller Coaster" for an early dinner at the Riverside Bar & Grill on the Sacramento River in Red Bluff.
