Sadly no... I got this from the BMW Press Outlet site (perk of being a so called automotive journalist).... So the image was free, but I don't get free hardware. If I did, I'd trick it out for my kids.... Matt
Love the air quotes around automotive journalist. FWIW, I think you're a bona fide automotive journalist. That plus $5 should get you a coffee at Starbucks.
BTW...Doc O gave me the hookup for the BMW Worldwide Press Site that all has the cool stuff for BMW, MINI, Rolls Royce and Husqvarna Motorcycles. I had no idea that BMW controlled Husqvarna Motorcycles.
I'm liking the MINI version styling better than the Smart from what I can see. Looks like the MINI might be able to ride 2 people, Smart 1.
I can see a new line of after market mods already on the drawing boards. I guess the "S" version will be next. Jim
Modding and electrics are old friends... there is this YouTube video of some engineer who hopped up one of those little plastic kiddy cars. Starts at 12 volts.... The kid has fun putting in the alley. At 18 volts, the thing is noticably faster... At 20 volts the thing will spin it's wheels and the kid is starting to look nervouse... At 22 volts, the kid is scared and it will do full on burn-outs. At 24 volts the kid is terrified and starts to cry..... Bump up the battery voltage and you get screamers, till something melts! Matt
Now I'm getting interested. You are on to something here Rally. Bump the vlots like Doc said, get a small flatbed trailer and pull it behind the MINI to the Dragon. Jim
Those concepts are pretty neat. Very futuristic styling, and electric power should be a blast on a little scooter. But one cannot surpass the sheer beauty, sexiness and stylish lines of a classic Vespa. My '65 180 Super Sport that I used to own. I miss it often, mostly on those warm sunny days. I will own one again someday, sadly I'll have to end up paying a lot more for one.
Looks like he didn't expect it to hook up... 0-60 in under one second is really fast! More powerwheels vids: Modified Power Wheels Information The forum is dedicated to modifying the little suckers! Matt
