Shoppers were lucky to escape serious injury Tuesday afternoon when a car slammed through a fence on Tecumseh Road East and barrelled by a line at the cash register before coming to rest inside a building filled with ceramics. Firefighters and paramedics who rushed to the scene at Campeau’s Nursery and Ceramics had to work feverishly to free the motorist trapped inside the wreckage. The car, a Mini Cooper, left a twisted fence, a trail of debris and frazzled customers in its wake. Windsor police are investigating. In my home town, where the roots are overwhelmingly Norwegian and the idol worship of "Nisse" is omnipresent, news of this gnome casualty has been especially troubling.
Uff-da, Gnome abuse.... dats a tragedy fer sure ya know...looks like Jesus, Mary and Joseph were spared. Crashton - good one!
We may be witnessing the beginning of the great Mini / gnomes war. As gnomes all around the world rise up to avenge the fallen brothers. Don't let your Mini sleep outside and make sure to travel in pairs!
Someone in the back office was heard to say..... "Ya break it... Ya bought it".... And then in a very faint whisper.... "Hey Bernie... Looks like we're gonna have a fantastic month"...
:cornut: I know about Norwegian Trolls: They live in the woods or under bridges. They come out at night. They speak only Old Norwegian. They kidnap people off of bridges if the people don't have the Troll's permission to cross. The beat up Gnomes. So the MINI in this case is literally and figuratively a 'Troll'. You can tell by the troll's license plate that he was wanting to eat the Gnome. Jason
