That tail fin thing is to keep hipsters for putting a luggage rack on the back or some stupid double wing.:lol::lol::lol::lol:
So I just got an email in my junk folder from the sewing site, just now announcing this prototype/concept.... Hello, can you say a little late to the party?
What do you expect... The only people over there who actually care about MINIs are only lurking... Because they post over here!
Always been a sucker for a Spyker... There is a guy in Denver with one, straight piped! That is one sweet sounding but loud as hell V8!
Officer: do you know how fast you were going ? Me: yes I was flying, well I was trying too until you stopped me.
Of course they do they are the clueless NAM after all. They still think a Sprintex unit is a great idea.:lol::lol::nonod:
The more I look at this, the more I love it. :smile5: Also, the more I look at it, the more I realize it will be RUINED when they try to translate it into a practical, street-legal production car. Add windows, add a roof, add a structural windshield frame, make it meet pedestrian impact standards, make it meet convertible rollover requirements, add airbags, add cupholders, add <fill in the blank>). It's gonna suck.
For the most part designers offer up something that is a fantasy.... "Hey Look What We can't make".....
I don't think it's certain they'd completely ruin it on the way to production but I'm fairly certain it would hit showrooms with ridiculously unrealistic pricing. MINI are definitely taking advantage of all the favorable buzz and working to keep it going. They have a poll (sort of) on Facebook today asking whether people would rather have the tail fin or the tail lights.
If they offered the fin they would be the only manufacturer to do so on a modern vehicle.... "Not Normal"..................
Come on stop killing our buzz :lol::lol: I know it will never be built for production BUT I hope to god if it is the get rid of the ugly taillight's. Enough with the Union Jacks already :mad2:
Don't know why it took me so long but I just noticed the fin wraps around and under (where the bumper would be). [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arsN7c__D8A"]MINI Superleggera Driving Scenes - YouTube[/ame]
