During MTTS 2010 the rally stopped in Columbus on its way to Indy. The next morning a group of us joined in for the Indy leg. When I saw that the Route was I-70 all the way I found then MINI USA President Jim McDowell sitting on a curb and I asked him why we weren't driving back roads to Indy. He said "do you have a back road route to Indy"? We gave him one and he changed the Route. We had a great time running the back roads with Jim, he even flagged down an ice cream truck and bought everyone I've cream. Jim McDowell got it !!!

I kind of think that has changed now, the hipsters don't know what a back
road is.-

I ran this leg as well and jumped in with a group led by silverback if I recall correctly. We missed out on the ice cream truck, but it was a blast and every time the new announcement comes out my now 14 YO who accompanied me on that trip asks if we can do the whole thing. He can't wait to get his own MINI.

Only way I participate in MTTS is if they stop somewhere around Denver... Long highway road trips just for the sake of burning gas isnt my thing.

MTTS Transport California to Atlanta - We have 19 of the 20 spots filled for the Northern California shipments so there is only one sport left.
There are openings for SoCal folks that want to transport their cars to Atlanta. If any Arizona people want to join on board let us know and we can try arrange something.
Time is running out and we are finalizing things SOON. PM me or email [email protected]
Cheers
