    The organizers must not like Texas, because the route never comes close. I don't think it is possible to make the route more unfriendly to MINI owners in Texas.

    Okay, my bad. I missed the previous MTTS events that went through Texas. I guess I should pack the R56 for Sioux Falls. Should only take 20-something hours. I hear it's a real party town.

    Does MTTS have any relevance anymore? During the 1st gen years, MINI were unique and scarce, and owners were a small dedicated cult. MINIUSA could organize an event for the cult that would also promote the brand. Nowadays, the brand is mainstream and I can't picture the buyer of a Countryman or 4-door F55 feeling that they are joining the "MINI community" or being attracted to MTTS. Imagine "Miata Takes the States" vs "Mazda Takes the States".
