You R53 and R56 "S" folks crack me up. I personally like my justa and have no need to lay anything on the table and measure it.

The Greenwich Times is reporting that a garage fire over the weekend was caused by a MINI.

Of course I don't want to see anyone burnt up or their car or their house. I was just pointing out that the lowly justas just seem to keep on ticking, while the other two take a licking. I freely admit that I bought mine for the mpg and had no idea about the reliability of any of them, until I got on the forums, which was after I bought it. Besides, I too may have an "S" in my future.

Hello, MoSA? Yes, I need to make an appointment ASAP...

I think we owe a debt of gratitude to our Canuck friends for being the pointy end of the spear and catalyst for the swiftly following NHTSA action.

Now...let's get the turbo oil line issue recalled. It appears that they will already have the turbo removed to resolve the aux. water pump problem, replace the '07 to '10 oil lines at the same time.

Glad to see this is being taken care of. FWIW I would be parking outside until the fix is performed if I had an affected MINI. Wonder if you could get the turbo line replaced for the cost of the part, since it has to came off anyway.

I just hope Transport Canada now will step up and force the recall for MINI/BMW Canada.

Ya I just found the posting on the Transport Canada site dated December. Thanks Gil-galad for the post!

Three months ago I would have been ridiculed by the masses for doing this. It's still probably a bit of overkill, but much preferable to the alternative. -
Transport Canada did it first.
