What's this come to????? Any estimates.... Anyone???? So the list price for this pump is about $150.00, lets say cost is about $50.00 Labor @ 100.00/hr, lets say cost is $30.00/hr times what, 4 hours. Total @ $170.00 per MINI times 88,911 x 90% (wrecks you know) so 80,000 MINI's = $13,600,000.00.... Hmmmmm
I say STOP the recall and use that money for the 2012 WRC season. You all should have bought a Justa anyway. Jim
$13,600,000.00 is just the US..... add Canada to the pile..... Wonder what BMW-MINI is thinking about doing for U-rope and the rest of the world???? 235,535 vehicles worldwide x $170.00 = $40,000,000.00....... YOWSER:crazy:

Hey Jim in the article linked by Gil-galad the young ladies MINI that went to toast was a JUSTA. Are you still laughing? I fail to see any humor in the fact one of these cars can burn someones car up & possibly their home down. Like Chuck said it is nap time. :biggrin5:
Yeah, I couldn't quite conclude if that was the case or if that part of the photo was just overexposed and hiding the scoop. There's something odd about the shape of the bonnet... Don't be too hard on Jim. I was in that fraternity not too long ago. I understand.
Of course I don't want to see anyone burnt up or their car or their house. I was just pointing out that the lowly justas just seem to keep on ticking, while the other two take a licking. I freely admit that I bought mine for the mpg and had no idea about the reliability of any of them, until I got on the forums, which was after I bought it. Besides, I too may have an "S" in my future. Jim
But you had an R53 bonnet & no doubt a reduction pulley in the glove box. :ihih: Nothing wrong with justa's. I may buy one someday myself.
Why would I get "Justa" slow car when I could have an R53.? It has all the looks and POWER to get out of its own way. rrr:rrr:rrr:
You R53 and R56 "S" folks crack me up. I personally like my justa and have no need to lay anything on the table and measure it. Jim
Jim that is the best reply I have seen in a long time to anyone busting on a "Justa".:lol: I was just joking around, have fun with your ride and Motor On my friend.:cornut::cornut:
