Sorry, MINI, but the looks and slightly warmed up engine of the new JCW will have me looking at comparably priced and better-equipped GTIs, Focus RSs and WRXs when it's time to replace my 2nd Gen. JCW Hardtop. :frown2:

 

Now that they've unvieled it, is it too much to ask that they cover it back up?

 

Glad to see someone is going to race one of those. That being said it sure is not a looker.
I'm looking at a GTI for my next MINI too.

 

I drove one a couple of weeks ago. A GTI SE with the performance package, adjustable shocks and lighting package costs less than a base 2015 MINI JCW - especially when you know that SCCA members pay $500 under invoice on the GTI. (You can join for around $75-$100; let's see, spend $100 to save $2,000?) I'm waiting for the 2016 this summer, which will have the improved dash.

 

Interesting, the Audi S3 is looking pretty good right now. If they would do a RS3 Avant style wagon, I would be in.

I will not buy another MINI and I will keep my R53 and buy another car if I need one.

 

What will Audi do with all the boxes of chrome numbers 0-9 in the same font that they use for appropriately labeling their models so you can tell them apart? :confused5:

 

Send em over to BMW for stuff like the brand new iXZ5d hybrid crossover side-wheel-drive activity something.

On another note, when I was thinking of getting rid of the Jeep, it was between the 2015 Coutryman, and a used 2009 Subi STi... I liked the STi, but couldn't get past the interior ugliness, and the feel of the car wouldn't make for a good daily With the amount of miles I put on a car in a year.

 

Thank you for the heads up. I dropped my Secret Car Club of America membership at the point I no longer needed my competition license. That there is a nice $aving.

 

Not a fan of the four door, but I love that color combo they revealed.
