In a promotional email blast MINI included the following. Stay tuned to M/A for more info, as well learn more you will too...
Guess we won't know the dates, or if they will conflict with MINI United or any of the local and regional club events.
Mini Takes The States 2012 Using what has happened in the past as a guideline, a safe assumption would be the month of August. At least the start date. It could run into the first week of September, as 2006 did, but I'm guessing most of August just like 2010. So far all the MTTS events have started in August. I did all of MTTS 2010, the west coast version, and will not miss this one. Hope this helps...
I agree...it should be in August. They want to capture as many as they can at the end of the traditional vacation season.
WooHoo! cant wait to find out more...2010 was a blast and we met so many cool people on the way. Really looking forward to doing it all over again in 2012
I am looking forward to another MTTS. I did a portion of 2006, the Los Angeles 2008, and West Coast to Denver 2010. I wonder if 2012 will be more like 2008 where there were separate events around the country instead of a big road trip? I am hoping for a road trip.
They promised not to infringe on MINIs In The Mountains 2012 which is August 2nd - 5th in Winter Park, CO and I know MINI USA would not go back on their word.
I think I have (using science) determined when MTTS will be: The first two weeks in July with a big (not to be missed) event on July 14th! How do I know this? Because it is the only time in the entire month I have something already on the calendar.
Planning on this should have started in Sept of 2010! I hope they're further along in that than they were in 2010, really hard to take part in these thing with little to no advance word.....plus like Prof Zoom, I already have an event planned for early July that I cannot miss....
I hope they make sure that they are not up against or close to another big event. Do I go to AMVIV or Minis on Top? Someone changed the dates and they are a week apart and driving 2100 miles to Vegas and 3100 miles back to New Hampshire is just a bit much for me. I am leaning towards Minis on Top and maybe next year I can do Vegas? Doing the Dragon one week and Branson MO next week I can handle that. I will do Helen Georgia in February and the tour is on! MITM is on the list along with Mickey & Mini and Mini Takes the States needs alot of refinement in putting their show on the road, we have all been to the big cities, lets go thru the woods as we truckers use to say!
But if you go to AMVIV, two days later you can be in Prescott, AZ for Mini Meet West and then be an East-Meets-West member!
