Correction the free maintenance was never free it is built into the price of the car. We charge you more & give you less. Now that is a premium screwing.rrr:

Frankly, I'm surprised that they ever covered wear parts, especially clutches, which can be cooked in an afternoon by a third-pedal novice.

NEVER in SoCal did any dealer cover a clutch. Since 02, a few lucky people have managed to squeak a clutch out of their wtty coverage, but largely it has been 5-7k and " sorry it's not our fault you can't drive".
As an aside, VW/AUDI have not covered brakes in their 3/36 for years now. Dealers discretion/goodwill only for them. The newest MINIs are bigger, more expensive and now further decontented. With a flat non descript LOGO to boot.
While no free brakes is good for my business, I will have more trouble steering people away from Honda Toyota, etc. with this type of program being slimmed down.
I HATE what they are doing to my favorite modern car...... -

Guess is good I bought my last MINI 2016.
I wonder what is on my replacement schedule for the 2011 my wife is driving. It has warranty until 2019.
Will I care....
The say older folks are going towards MINI VANs. NOT!
