Lounge leather is 2K, so they only $750.00 more. That is not all that bad a deal, considering the hassle of butting after market ones in.

A rag top car will collect dirt, dust and, at times water. The seats would have to be very easy to maintain, IMHO. I'm thinking leatherette.

So, who'll be the first to retrofit into the R53?

Or the first to remove the dyna-crappa and replace it with a nice contrasting color of leather!

Nice seats, but wow they sure do want a whole heck of a lot of money for them. Stock seats for me. Too many other things to spend that money on.

What is the regular price for Recaro seats purchased aftermarket?

They're nice-looking seats; I've never sat in one, so I haven't had an opportunity to fall in love with them.

Putting in aftermarket seats is not that hard. I have a set of Recaros from a Mitisu Evo IX (9) in my R53. I love them and they are 100 % worth it!

You can also adjust for the heated seats, you have to add I think another 500 to the lounge leather to get them heated. I am glad I had not pulled the trigger on my coupe yet.

I agree - putting in my Recaros was not that hard - it involved a little elbow grease at the most.

These new Recaro's don't get me as excited as the European JCW Recaro's. I just think Recaro could have done a much better job, but their hands were probably tied by BMW.:(
