Thats good to hear, it is nice when the Cops are being cool about it. One year there was one that was being dangerous on the Dragon. My son and I saw him cross the line several times. In one of the corners he pulled across the on coming lain in to a runoff on the opposite side, opened his door and listened for cars then did a u-turn! We stoped and watched him. I was furious. The year the Dragon had the rock slide the two TN HP's were parked near the gate sitting on the hood of their cars talking. They might as well had a sign that said "Have Fun On The Dragon" That was a fun time.

We ran across one LEO while outbound on Blimey's Tour of Terror. I probably would have missed the unmarked black SUV if it hadn't been running radar and called out on the radio by folks in the front of the line.

Also: Some photos have been posted. I haven't been to Killboy's site yet: http://www.129photos.com/

Thanks @Sully. Those were some nice looking coupe's. The pick of the MINI litter.:D Well except the GP's, maybe.
I drove a roaster before I bought the Helmet, almost got it, they are very fun cars. Also they M7 cold air intake looked nice.

I guess the officer noticed the FOP Lodge #11 decal and plate badge. Yes, I am a member but not a cop.

Also he loved my TRUMP “F**K Your Feelings 2020” shirt. I got out of my car had a smoke with him and we talked for a while about cars. He was a nice guy and just doing his job. He said you can go as fast as 45 and they will just warn you, over that you get a ticket.

They have had too many deaths on the Dragon recently and now they are paid OT to patrol it and “enforce” the speed limits but they also don’t like all the paperwork.

There can never be too much camber! Lol. The inside wheel is getting scrubbed during very fast Dragon Runs. Wear is actually right where I need it. This little R50 was fast, very fast. Never had any car ask me to move over this year during 36 runs. But close to 8500 miles on the Dragon over 14 years in this same MINI helps!

Would like to apologize for leaving early this year, but my son needed to be picked up from U of Cincinnati. Only father to bring home their kid and dorm room in a MINI! 4431D219-E765-4EF2-B663-600E440FF877.jpeg

Thanks. Don’t care about looks. Only speed! Lol.

"America is all about speed, hot nasty bad-ass speed" - Eleanor Roosevelt Quote

Seem to hold my own on the Dragon, even with only 126hp.

Modded quite a bit. Suspension, tires, weight reduction, mild performance, but mainly driver instruction and lots of miles!

Had a run of 12 straight years going. God put me where I needed to be last year, but still missed you all terribly!

My roomie and I left Fontana that very morning thru the Dragon for Ohio. We had to clear numerous trees to get out and onto Maryville. Those damned trees that were still standing were swaying like snakes and scared the hell out of us both. We carry saws and tow ropes when we come down now. The weather then is way too iffy.

It was 2 years ago. I know that because I was driving my R50 and went back again with the same car last year. This year, we are taking the R53.

No, it was much longer than two years ago. That was the year of the power outage not the tornado.

Dave's right. Two years ago was the power outage and a bunch of trees down, but no tornado. My first MOTD was 2012 so it must have been prior to that.
