Y'all tear it up... we can't be there this year.

 

this will be my first year, do I need to bring the track wheels & re71rs ?

 

Nope - you will be running on the roads - and sometimes they're "suboptimal". Last year it was pretty wet.

 

the re71r are good in the wet and really sticky

only drawback is they wear realllly bad and they are small so my speedo is off by 5mph at least

I haven't checked dates yet, but I think my wife is taking the family to Disney World at that time. If so, I will be there...and I sure hope it doesn't rain this year.

 

It's been raining a lot down there the whole summer Teddy... Some of my local friends are saying almost every day since we left. [emoji20]

last year's MSSD was definitely the wettest I've been to in awhile----but you guys know, it always rains when we're there, Oct or May!!

 

Or any other time in the summer months from what I've seen... [emoji6]
Been watching the weather around Robbinsville for the last two years, and satellite shows rain showers at least once a week on average. [emoji2]

obtw--the FB page for this says Fontana is full that weekend--not entirely true--the block of discount rooms is gone , but you can still get a room there (called yesterday).......for now.......it IS filling up ,which surprises the hell outta me--think we made reservations about a week or 2 before last year no problem.....so call and talk to someone in person, just don't rely on website

If anyone is driving though or from Columbus Ohio down to the event (near Knoxville TN) and is able to carry 4 wheels down for me I would be ever so grateful AND willing to pay some $$. Please let me know ---

Thanks for everyone organizing. For the record two buddies were running Conti ExtremeContact DW tires and I was on Falken RT615Ks. All tires worked wonderfully during hot laps on the Dragon and other roads! Next up are a set of Nexen SUR4s for my JCW. Til next time!
