Mod, you've been a great resource and support for me in my time here. If there's ever anything I can do to help, just say the word, brother. I have your back. WE have your back.

Hang in there.....
We all have demons we must slay...
And first step to winning the battle is to admit we need reinforcents, aka help.
Good luck in dealing with your issues, and remember....if you succomb, you have let the bastards that put you through the crap that gives you issues win!! So kick some BUTT, and let's get you back to the "real" you!!
Just remember, never give up!! Don't let the bastards win...be it the folks the VA who "misplace"" your paperwork or the memories! The pills they pass out are just a fast temporary fix, but hopefully they can find a person or group you can connect with and work your way through this stuff!!-

Thanks Art. I have been told by a few other army buddies that the DAV was the most help with all the paperwork part than anybody, so I am going to start there now that the first part of the claim has been submitted.
What unit where you with in '03? We ran a lot of stuff around Baghdad from July to around November... Who knows, we could have been standing in line next to eachother at one of the chow halls.-

I'm 60% through the VA and the paperwork, appointments and TIME re-
quired just to find out your status is just wrong. They say its getting easier
and quicker but I have my doubts. But hang in there, there is a light at the
end of the tunnel.-

I've got a friend who developed some neurological issues while in the Navy. He finally had to resort to a representative / agent of sorts to get what he needed from the VA. I'm not sure how they work, but it did get him some disability and, more importantly, the attention to get the help he needed. PM me if you need and I'll ask for a name and number. The idea of needing an agent to represent you to the VA sounds shady, IMHO, but the guy knew how to shake the process loose.

Thanks Jeff.
I do see a problem with the Countryman though... It cant do the one thing the Jeep was good at. My days of loading my camping box-O-crap in the back, and hitting the sticks for the weekend are pretty much over.I can adjust to that though, back in school I camped out the back of a Honda CRX! Just need to find some accessible spots where there aren't many people, or trade my dad for his pickup on occasion.
