Mine has smoked a plethora of pork and assorted other critters since I got it in '07.

That's a nice looking little rig. Charcoal right? Just a suggestion, but make sure you season it well before you cook the first time. It'll make the food taste better and the cooker last longer. From the picture it looks like you'll be able to easily smoke a couple of butts using an offset fire. Just remember, and tell your spectator friends "if you're lookin', you ain't cookin'". Enjoy that puppy and have of good weekend.

What! You did not jump on the 310 3 burner new Weber Grill, that is my target!
I guess I could even smoke some meats in it.

The briquette tray seems to be coated with a heavy layer of an oily substance, to keep the raw steel from rusting in the box I'm sure... Will definitely fire it up and season the smoker to get rid of any petroleum products on the inside...
No ...."Why does my steak taste like STP?" .... Comments...
Thanks for the reminder Vetsvette..
I'll bet your rig has seen some good times...
Got any "Special " dry rubs recipe you want to share???? -
Just did a 13 hour low and slow cook on an 8 lb brisket. There's hardly any left today...
My favorite brisket rub--it's simple: 1/3 cup each of sea salt, black pepper, dark brown sugar, paprika, and chili powder. -
