If they don't it sounds like a good excuse to brew your own!

Now that's not a bad idea, we have been talking about doing a coffee stout. A s'mores beer would be pretty sweet (literally)!

I just went to the liquor store and got "s'more" beer. They had plenty, so you don't need to make any.

So what night looks good to most for s'mores (maybe homemade donut holes as well... I might be talked into making some) and s'mores beer at the campsite??? Robb and I don't have a preference as of now.

 

For me Thursday or Friday would work best. I'll go along with what works for most folks though.

Looking at the Official MOTD 2012 website, what are everyone's general plans or activities that you have in mind for this year? Any suggestions? In most cases, I'll probably do whatever most of you MOM peeps decide, but these are the big events that catch my eye:

Thursday:
Night @ TBD- Smores and beer at campsite. (R53 owners can use the intercooler to act as a portable grill :ihih

Friday:
Poker Run from 11:00am-2:00pm
Brew Swap from 6:00-8:00 (if several people are interested, we can maybe setup beside the BRM guys)

Saturday:
????
????
????

Sunday:
Depart for Columbus

This will be my 8th (and probably final) MOTD in my 2003 MINI- only 2 months away, I'm already super excited! MOM! Woot woot!

 

Hey Cooper, I am signed up for the Brew Swap on Friday and the Welcome Dinner on Wed. Other than that I am open to anything. Wouldn't mind doing the drive to the falls we did last year.

 

Looks like Robb and I will not be back to the campsite until 9:30 or so on Thursday night because of a drive ; so it is looking like Friday night will probably be better for the s'mores by the camp fire.

 

Awesome. I also registered for the Brew Swap this year; haven't decided on the beer of choice yet, but leaning towards the Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale.

The Cherohala Skyway & Bald River Falls drive is always a great option; I'm also trying to check out the Bridal Falls drive sometime this year. The waterfall over the road looks pretty interesting in pictures, and I've never been there before.

 

My beer of choice will probably be a mix of homebrew and store bought IPA. My Dad, brother and I are still in discussions if a s'mores beer is our next brew...we will see...
