I think I will call them back and talk to the manager that Nathan listed in the first thread. I pulled up the Discount tire site and the price I was qouted was basically the same as if I just went through the website. Not a huge deal, but could always use some extra $'s in my wallet for donuts.
Heck yeah, I think they tried to charge Jeff shipping until he talked to the Manager... Donut money is a precious thing...
Brian I have not been charged an extra $10 per wheel for TPMS. That was last November at the Lewis Center store. Could that $10 a tire be for replacing the seals in the TPMS?
Thanks again to Nathan for arranging this very nice discount program. Looking at the tires that I put back on Skooby 1 has a crack running around the circumference of the tire in the tread grove. Time for new tires. Our friendly price worked again. I saved $31 a tire & there is a $50 rebate going. Tires are ordered. No more runflats for us!!!! rrr:
Yea, Thanks Uncle Nathan :cornut: I stopped in today at the Easton store to grab a set of Cooper Zeon RS3As to put on my newly powdered Challenge Spokes. Once again, these guys came thru. Since I just had the wheels done, I was a little protective and wanted to make sure the tires were mounted with the fancy "no touch" machine they have. It isn't no touch but it is all hydraulic controlled and keeps tools from touching the face of the wheel. Perfect install. They look great. Even though I purchased a tire that wasn't in the discount agreement since TireRack doesn't sell it, DT made a price adjustment on the install and on TPMS rebuilds so I still saved a few bucks. P.S. I highly recommend MetalMan's friend over at StreetWerkz.com. These R112's had the original finish plus dark silver and black that had to be taken off before he could finish them in gloss black. I am very happy with the result.
Tires mounted up yesterday morning at Discount tire in Lewis Center. As always thay did a top notch job of it. Skooby's rolling on real tires now. Thanks Nathan :donut1:
Have an appointment Tuesday morning for a couple new shoes on the Suburban. Thanks Nathan for setting this up. 20" truck tires aren't cheap.
At Easton location. They said the mgr hasn't been here in a couple years. Will not honor the discount.
I found out the same thing... I followed the manager over to the Stringtown road store in Grove City.... They gave me the discount...
Just got a fresh set of Falken Pro G4 A/S in 195/60-r15 for $355 out the door with their road hazard replacement certificates. The normal price would have been $445. Thanks MoM and Discount Tire! This was through Brennan Gilson at the Brice Rd. location. I was in and out in 32 minutes...
Went to the Easton store today to order 215/40-17 Dunlop Direzza ZII Star Spec's That model is Tire Rack only.
Yup! It's quite annoying actually. Tire discounters and discount tire do not stock many performance tires unless it's toyo, yoko, or nitto. Have fun paying that bill.
Wouldn't annoy me, heck the fact they will order a tire from Tire Rack while matching their prices is great. You won't get that kind of service from many places. Discount Tire FTW!
Discount Tire can't order the Dunlop Direzza ZII Star Spec. Thats what the Easton store said. They'ed be happy to mount them for me though. Talk about a PITA....I can't get 4 wheels in my car. I'd have to make 3 trips to get it all there. Then 3 more to bring it all back home. I'm looking at other options.
I thought the last time you ordered your tires they got them from TR for you. Maybe I'm dis-remembering that. TR can drop ship them there for you.
