If so they are stealing your search queries and running them them a 3rd party to enrich themselves. I came across this article US internet providers hijacking users' search queries , found WOW on the list and ran the tests. Found out my searches are being hijacked. I've moved to using Google DNS to bypass WOW. I've also called and lodged a complaint. I pay them more than enough for this so-so internet service. They don't need to skew my search results and make a buck off that too.
Ahhhh..... Thanks Nathan.... Just changed my Apple Mac to HttpsGoogle (added the "s")..... Hah, I made the change and it works, I can still get on M/A.... Yippee.... Now I gotta go around and change several PC's.......Grrrrrrrr Thanks for the heads up on the evil doers that are always scheming out in the interwebz..... Lockem up and throw away the key......
The easy way around it is to change the DNS on the router to Google DNS or use the OpenDNS service. The all devices are not using Wow DNS for name service.
