Can't you just remove the fuse or even better unplug the wires from the sensors you are blocking with the tire.
I.e. No sensor connected, no sound. :idea:

Done any more research on how to disconnect the back up sensors? I know people who install bike racks have a similar problem....... -

Yes, I'll be working on on a bike rack soon as a next project so it will be the same issue. For now I haven't done more testing but I plan to.
I also have a light harness I have not installed yet so perhaps that might answer some of it... I've read that in some cases for bmw cars the light harness disable the rear park assist when used. I'll have to see if that's the case for the MINI. -
