Sure, it can be moved.... The important part will be getting the 10 cars needed for the discount and I don't think that's happening.... Does moving the date get us to 10? I can certainly call DM and get another date but we should probably try to get to 10 first.... I'm down at my shop most weekends so I'm very flexible.....
Doesn't appear there are enough cars that need dents removed in order to get the discount, even if we moved the date???? Soooooo..... I guess the Dent Party scheduled for 9/8/2012 will be cancelled. If we want to try and get together next Spring, there may be a new crop of dents we can harvest.....
I still have my ball peen hammer..... It makes perfectly round dents.... And is always handy... Yeah, I'll still offer my location for next year if we want to try again....
So I am assuming this prolly isn't happening as we still don't have enough cars. Would still love it too if we can get a few more...B.A.D. brought up another interesting idea of a pre winter detailing day, if anyone is interested...
Good Segway. I took my son's car to Performance auto spa outside of Dublin for window tint. While there I asked him about their detail demo days the do. He said he would love to schedule us for a Sat and provide a 2hr ish demo on detailing. Also, if we have cars that need tinting he would work out a discount if we can get a group together. (Dont have to do all the tints at one time). I was happy with the tint job. He sells Griot's products. Anyone interested?
I like the idea of a detailing day. The demo sounds good, but would we be able to hang out and help out on each other's cars?
The demo sounds fine, but when I was talking with Brian the thought was more hanging out and detailing cars. Now if we can setup a demo that would be bonus.
If we want someone to help us with a demo day I suggest that we talk to Shaun (SCurve) about it. He previously worked for Griots and did demos for them. Also, Aaron may be able to give us some advise on setting the demo up.
My original thought was more detail doing and less demo. I'll admit that this is based on the fact that I have lots of scratches and swirls that I would like to get out. Jason and I were talking about an event where people could bring different detailing supplies, food, or something else to contribute.
