Looking at the current forecast Saturday looks to be rainy for the entire 71-75 Corridor. If this forecast holds up, I'll leave on Sunday instead.
I am heading to Fontana this Sunday morning this year. I should be at Fontana Monday Morning after spending the night somewhere in NC.
Looks like Hellbender claimed a Golf R this past weekend at Wookies in the Woods. It happened around the curves before you cross the bridge as you head from Fontana to 129.

Also sounds like he had been driving like a d-bag from the time he left FL (according to the some of the people he had traveled up with) until this happened (which just so happened to be right after leaving the safety meeting they had). This will be my first road trip, to my first Dragon, in a new-to-me 2005 R52 s. I pick up my car on Sat. in Canton, Ohio and will be driving home to Cincy. Wednesday morning I will be meeting up with the group stopping at the rest area in KY. If anyone wants to meet for a quick lunch between 1 and 2 on Sat. , let me know. To say I am psyched about this adventure is an understatement. I have never driven a MINI before...
