Thats the plan and why i have a huge box of parts and tires coming

 

i should have my big box of stuff tomorrow... first project is to rewire the fog lights on an independent circuit for the new wipacs... probably going to get some lamin-x too

 

Gotta love it when boxes of good stuff show up! Its like mini christmas!

Some new Yokohama A539 Tires

Lots of good new bits

new 5.5" Wipac's

new Mintex rear shoes and springs

neodymium oil drain plug

nice new spare fuel pump

new much needed cone compression tool so i can get my new suspension cones in

and some new wider seat lugnuts to replace my rusty ones

 

got my new Wipac foglights installed

 

all in good time... I have some more pressing needs to fix on her

 

got some more work done the last few days...
i pulled the carpet up hoping to install the cup holder but i have a bit of a problem with a bobbin nut so i may have to get under the car to replace it... but when i did pull it up the foam gasket that covers the shift housing was out of place... so after pulling the shifter out of the car and regreasing the box and shifter... i used some gold heat barrier tape and covered the foam piece then used the rest to seal and secure the shift mount hole...



and today now that i finally have a suspension cone compressor i finally got the Minispares red dot cones installed


the left one is the new mini spares cone and the one one the right is the old dunlop moulton cone...

finally installed... that compressor worked like gang buster

now she rides like a monster truck lol

 

they should be just about right in time for the dragon but i must say for a set of the harder red dots it really rides so smooth and nice

started the wrap on the manifold

 

lol i know... if it wasnt for the fact i didnt like in a hotter climate i wouldnt need it

 

it would have been great to get the new manifold on today...but alas the current one was just welded to the exhaust pipe and no amount of whacking with a mallet got it loose... but however i did get the new fuel pump in... and in good time too cuz when i pulled that pump out the arm smelled like gas

 

looks like my stuff is on its way shortly... i got a picture of the new reworked fuse panel with some extra slots for my stereo and other items

 

decided to protect my foglights from rock strikes by wrapping them in yellow Lamin-x film

 

finally after much waiting my electrical goodies are in the air and heading my way! should have them wednesday!

 

however on a blah note... was working on my brakes this weekend and found i have a weepy wheel cylinder... and i haaate installing those circlips... what tricks do you all use to install them?
