Sorry...I held up Chuck and Barbara the first time and will NEVER, EVER do that again. I ruined his day and we got there as everyone was leaving. By the time we got our donuts, everyone had left. It's ok...I prefer to drive alone in the future and on my own drives...no hassles that way and no more frustrated friends.

I was on my way home, anyway. Chuck got me onto 129 after the donut fiasco and went back to Fontana while I went back to Ohio. This was the last time for the R50 at MOTD.
It's not a matter of leaving early so people can catch up. You go to have fun and to "drive it like ya stole it". My Cooper with its cvt just can not do that...and it didn't, thus holding up Chuck [who was nice enough to hang back so I wouldn't get completely lost].
Since then, I have brought my R53 down, but this will be the last time for it, too.-

Yea we have talked about that. His car has a lot of suspension mods: springs, shocks, adjustable camber plates and 1in square tubing welled to the the sub frame.
I plan on running the Dragon with him a few times so he can find the limit. The car is a beast.
It handles good but not like a Mini. He would argue that point.-

So for anyone planning on going to Outmotoring after the Donut Run the Devil's Triangle route is real close. Devil's Triangle/
I'm planning on doing that run after Outmotoring if anyone else would like to go.-

Sounds like fun, I didnt get to run the triangle on the way in with the rest of the Colorado peeps last year...
As long as you have room for a Porker, it sounds tempting!-

I'll likely be riding solo, so what I do is up to me and only me. :cornut:-

Shall we quantify it as the Best Semi-Sorta-Organized Drive
With the caveat that this is weather dependant.-

I'm making this trip an excuse to see some family in the area, so I'll have other things to do (they live 20 minutes from the base of the dragon).
I do look forward to finally meeting y'all, though. Where will everyone be hanging out on the evenings?-

Fontana Village for the most part, even though some of us gave cabins elsewhere... Wherever Daves cabin is, and the Stonehenge fire pit are the hot spots at night.
Your ride schedule sounds like mine... Wide open for whatever we can do wide open!Thats the best way to do any MINI event in my opinion. There is so much to see in the area once you break free from the groups and get out on your own.
