ha! we are staying in the lodge so hopefully i can get my internet fix. I saw that they do have VZW service now so at lease my bf's phone will work. Maybe he can share internet with me
Or maybe this is a good reason to go buy an iPad with the new VZW MiFi combo deal...

We will be back in Cabin #1716 again next year. Cindy's mom and brother will be joining us as well. She lives near us here in Georgia and loves going to MINI events to see all the cars. She won't believe what she sees at MOTD! Cindy's brother bought a Harley this year and plans to tow it down. He is really excited about seeing all the MINIs and will probably hang out on vendor row most of the week. He is pretty handy, so if anyone needs an assistant, he would probably trade a few hours for a few brews!
Wish I could just hibernate until April.... -
After hitting the Dragon this weekend I figured I'd pose these 2 questions. 1, is there a rhyme or reason to how cars line up for rallys? Speedsters in the front, those getting their sea legs in the back? 2, think it'd beneficial if we gave some kind of colored cling card out to designate your driving/dragon experience? I say this because well want to enjoy the dragon but hate being stuck behind someone a bit, poky. However, it's never fun to feel as though you're holding up the fun. With the colors you could identify the person ahead of/behind and at a glance get a feel for their pace and decide whether you can speed up and still be comfortable or if you should let them by. Just some thoughts.

We plan on having each drive rated this year as far as the pace the leader intends to drive. And then will have each driver asked folks to line up according to their comfort zone and have a sweeper ride in the rear when possible.

As usual, you're the man

On group drives, frequently the folks in the back get a wilder ride... kinda like the end of a whip. The guy up front stops once at each stop sign, turn, etc. The guy at the back has to stop 20 times (if 20 cars) and gets to play some catch-up!

Another Random Question. How many times does one need to drive the Dragon before they can consider themselves to be a "Dragon Veteran?"

. I'll probably wait until MOTD9 before I truly consider myself a vet.

Dragon?
Never been to the Dragon and wondered:
1. where to stay?
2. is the any WIFI or internet hook up in the vendor areas? -

Fontana is the place to stay, especially if your gonna be a vendor. There is Wifi at the vendor area, but it's kinda iffy. We tried to make arrangements last year to get a boosted signal there, but it was still so-so. I be trying to get that improved in 2011
