I can't believe that I am already thinking about things I plan to do this year and it is still a long way off. Having a room at Fontana next year will help a lot. I'm ready. Jim
Don't know if this has been asked but is there going to be a volunteer thread anytime soon? I'd like hear more about pitching in.
Might be a while before that schedule is available..... probably not until after registration opens next year. It's worthwhile to volunteer for this.
I usually start putting things together officially in October and will start updating the website then as well. At that time, I'll post up request to see who wants to lead any day drives and/or any other events. Of course if someone has a idea they just can't sit on till then, feel free to shoot me a pm or email.
Thanks Mark! It is environmentally friendly, running on Propane. It has a little 4-stroke engine and hits 20+ miles/hour
Reservations are made for next year and I can't wait! Had a blast at MOTD 8 and met Mendra on the drive to Fontana......I got us lost for a little while but we made it thanks to Mendra.......I knew I should have taken that left at.......:incazzato::lol:
Kitty - environmentally friendly is solar powered. Lol that being said - I can't wait to check this thing out - we'll see if Chili upgrades his with meth to keep up.
Not just solar power - propane is a clean gas. I think Dave's is faster... at least he'll get me off the start (electric=torque) Mine is definitely faster than the hubby's though :cornut: But his car is way faster..... does that mean we are even?
Those could be helpfull with all the hills around Fontana. So where did the "Kitty" thing come from? You do seem to be into the name. Jim
FYI-Update Just heard back from the folks at Topoco Lodge. They will be open in March of 2011 and should be ready to take reservations around the 1st of September. I would still recommend Fontana as my first choice, but this would be a very good second choice.
Is anyone looking for people to share a cabin with? My boyfriend and I would like to go, but will need somewhere to stay... (There are 2 rooms left at Fontana but they're $179-199/night. )
Got a Queen Lodge room booked at Fontana thanks to another member that couldn't go. I'm under the impression that all queen rooms actually have 2 beds? If that's the case, I'd be willing to have roommates. Also, do they have wifi at Fontana?
Sorta, depending on where you are. The closer to the lodge and rec hall the better the signal but you also have 500 or so people also sharing the same bandwidth. Snappy fast it ain't.
