Not that I don't enjoy listening to music, it's just that while on the Dragon and anywhere else in that neighborhood, I am listening to the sound of the motor. That is music to my ears.
I listen to the radio and other sources (pandora, Spotify) on the way down and back because then the motor just drowns on at 4000rpm.

I call, threaten to cancel, and tell them unless they can give me the 6 for $25, I'm out. Comes in handy when I bored of my iPod.-

One of my all time favorite twisty road motoring songs is Water Song by Hot Tuna.

I just put my phone on shuffle all 10K songs I have.........never hear a song twice!
added: And I have everything from classic rock to classical to big band to Celtic and other ethnic music to Tony Bennet to soundtracks and more! -
I see a lot of posts about the music but only one mention of the "communication" factor. My questions are: Will ANY 2 way radio work like the basic Motorolas you can pick up anywhere? Is there a certain model or brand anyone would suggest? FRS/GMRS work? Thanks!

Something you may want to consider...and something that ive done...is go out and get your Ham radio tech license...it will allow you to operate on more than just the FRS/GMRS plus you have more options in antenna and power...i can not only communicate to others but also access weather but emergency frequencies too
can be handy when you are in the middle of nowhere and cant get a cell signal

I second the Ham license idea. Too bad there are few repeaters in that vicinity.

True but most should be able to do P-T-P within range

Here is a pretty good option for a radio...inexpensive and capable of 8 watts of power which is more than enough juice to reach out...
Amazon.com : BaoFeng BF-F8HP w/Large Battery (2000mAh) - BaoFeng's Best TRI-POWER (1, 4, 8 Watt) (USA Warranty) Dual-Band 136-174/400-520 MHz FM Ham Two-way Radio, Transceiver, HT - With Battery, Antenna, Charger, and More : Car Electronics -

Ill be using a freebanded VX-7R which should do anything I want. Has anyone talked about a HAM centralized frequency?
Al -
not yet but that is dependent upon people having their tech licenses... you can program the FRS/GMRS freq's into the radio's you just have to program them with the 1w power setting
i can take a look at the freq spectrum and see which ones we can use...mainly its just making sure we arent close to a repeater freq to prevent bleedover
