Rained like hell yesterday for about two hours, then cleared but it the monsoon time of year. One thing to make clear yesterdays high of 61 felt more like mid 70's at this altitude and now humidity till it rains its awesome. Then the sun comes out and dries it all up. You also don't have to worry about large hail here we don't get it.

Ah yes the monsoon season. I tend to think of it as Arizona pissing on Colorado - it does it feel good most of the time, however August 4 - 7 would be a good time for a break.
There is always the chance however so pack accordingly.

Last years monsoon was pretty weak. This years in a Bit--!!! Its rained 21 straight days and counting. But I have had a talk with the big guy (chuck) and he says it will stop on the 3rd of Aug. and not start again till Aug 8th. Chuck is the all powerful!

With endless 100+ humidex days here in STL, the mountains are going to be wonderful, rain or no rain:D

Today we had a tanker truck rollover on Berthoud Pass around noon, didn't reopen till eight tonight. Long way around for alot of folks. Hopefully will get all the bad signs of the second coming over with before MITM. Birds, tankers, eggs oh my.
