I think what you are seeing is normal. But 1/2 a degree is pretty far off. Could there be a production variance between those plates you used.

If it was me I'd either live with it or buy a set of adjustable plates. The idea of filing the holes just would bother me too much if it was my car.

How does the car handle with the plates alignment & new rear swaybar?

Tis what it is, don't go filing on your shock towers. Like was said above, .live with it or get off the bucks and get some adjustables...life is full of compromise.

From what I've gleaned from MINI forum reading Vorshlags are the best & the price is north of $400.

Yep my MINI is now at a monster truck height with a huge .25 inch lift. You are correct, but it means nothing as far as the real world goes.

I just installed vorshlag plates. They are made extremely well but have no rubber bushing so the ride is a little rough and sharp bumps are transmitted as sharp bumps. What you hit is what you feel.

    Jon,

All of these decisions depend on just what you are doing with your Mini.
I would tell you that the camber difference you have is inconsequential unless you are competing with your Mini and are looking for every single 100ths of a sec.
Like above said, the ride will suffer with vorshlag plates

Unless you're going to track your car a lot...

I'd just keep what you've got. Now, if having adjustable plates will get you laid much more often, then you should definantly get them. But without that benefit, the rubber bush in the fixed plates will give you a nicer ride on the street. The assymetry in the camber isn't really much of a deal on the street (like Greg said).

Went from the IE fixed plates to the Vorschlag adjustables and have found no discernable difference in the amount of times I'm getting laid..... if anything maybe less because I'm spending more time at the track.....

Opinion: If your just wanting to be better in the twisties on the street and might do a very occasional track day the IEs are OK.....But if your going to track a good bit, then the adjustables by Vorshlag are the way to go.... Your car will handle better, it will be quicker and more precise in every faze of the corner.

I've heard umbrella girls dig the adjustable plates.

My IE plates gave me 1.8 & 1.9. Guess I'm lucky in camber & love.

So next time I'm at the track I should pull over to the umbrella girls, pop it open and ask them if they want to see my Vorschlag?? :)

I was considering the IE fixed plates, but I spoke with Way and the only ones he is currently recommending are the V's.
As far as more sex, I suspect that if the mrs. Finds out the price there will be less!!

Buy me a beer sometime and ask about the two girls from law school. Adjustable camber FTW.

Adjustable camber plates add a little bit of violence to your street driving, give you that tight cornering, and amplify road bumps and feel. Totally worth it if you can live with it.

Never had a problem with mine either. Only reason I changed was to try and take the car to the next level on the track....
