Atkinson will revive one of the most famous scenes from the comedy series. He will recreate the moments where Mr Bean bought various items from a famous department store sale including a large arm chair and then realised it would not fit into his Mini, forcing him to strap the chair to the car roof and drive home while sitting on top of the car and using a mop and string to operate the pedals and steering. The star of Blackadder has become a regular at the event and he will also be racing an authentic 1965 Austin Mini Cooper S in the St Mary’s Trophy saloon car race, which is this year dedicated to Minis only. Minis are grabbing all the attention to celebrate their 50th anniversary. The event will also mark the 80th birthday of Sir Stirling Moss, as it will feature 80 of the 96 vehicles he campaigned in during his racing career.
since i am actually Mr. Bean, you cannot believe the responses that i used to get from potential track instructors!
they should do it with an 09 mini... then he'd have to figure out how to start the car with the key fob and brake pedal....
