Seriously, I wonder what kind of format they're looking at? We helped work the MINIcross test drives in '08 in Boston and Chicago. (Sheboygan) I had asked about future MTTS and was told they had looked at several options for the events. Anything from a multi stop tour like in '06 to a traveling road show like '08 to one big centralized event. It'll be interesting to see. This time around I plan on being an attendee. Working the events takes all day, but it was fun. Especially when we got to drive any MINI around the course when things were slow. Oh, and taking a lap around Elkhart Lake in one of their new JCW's was a decent perk too!

 

Well, for the sake of posterity in the aftermath of the Mini-meltdown, I'm still (im)patiently waiting to hear how folks may be able to attend both MTTS and MITM without spending 10 days in a hotel..... :yesnod:opcorn:

 

...I thought it was going to be on MINIMaybee's lawn.

 

If anyone hears of vendor info for MTTS please pass it on. I was a vendor at the last MTTS at the Rose Bowl in Los Angeles and it was cool, though pretty slow. I still liked being there. I doubt their marketing people will care enough to follow up with past vendors.

 

any word on the two events colliding in CO? I want to do both if possible.. but i need to know what days to take off

 

I'm having a meeting next week and should be able to release more details. So please hang in there until Tuesday.

Oh and you are all welcomed to camp in my backyard. What would I care I'm going to be in Winter Park. You just need to explain yourselves to the HOA. :lol:

Yep, gotcha... what are the chances of MTTS and MITM merging into one event :crazy: ? Just a thought...

OK just between you and me, look for a merging or at least symbiosis of the two events. I have promised to not divulge specifics for a week but you can surmise that either MITM will be moving to the previously released MTTS date or visa versa.
I can also say that all of our stuff is printed and we will not be reprinting. Further I can say that if you have not booked rooms for MITM you best hurry.

After chatting with Missus 2Go, I went ahead and made reservations at Winter Park. We'll just have to wait and see if things are going to work out. I sure hope so!

 

I'm going public with at least the dates this weekend. Since our registration will be opening soon we need to tell people what is going on.
