Are there any M/A Members planning to take part in the MTTS events?
Since we live in KC and the event will overnight here, we plan to hook up with the east coast group and travel out with them to Denver. I think traveling with 500 MINIs across the wilds of Kansas and Colorado backroads will be an absolute hoot!
One interesting note, the route from KC goes thru Dodge city and overnights there. I can't imagine 500 or so MINIs overnighting in tiny, tiny Dodge City! Wonder why they chose this route? All the other routes are on major hiways and overnight in large cities....

Not screwed - the whole NW is hereby invited to MITM! Come on gang!
Winter Park on Friday with MITM, we'll have a great time. There's the NUF! car show, twisties, vendors, a BBQ and a social cocktail (and that's better then two days in Kansas). So check out our website for the place to stay during MTTS and MITM www.MINIsInTheMountains.com and be sure to tell them you're with MITM so you get our rate.
You people (what does he mean by "You people"?) coming from the west you need to book your rooms now and just plan on spending the weekend with MITM. We'll be heading to Denver on Saturday to have fun with MTTS and then back to WP for our Mt. Evans run Saturday at midnight and then a brunch on Sunday at 11,000'. Better then coffee and donuts any day plus with your MITM registrations you get MTTS credentials for free. That's right, register for MITM and get into MTTS too! What a deal from your pals at MINI5280.

We have our room booked at the Vintage in Winter Park already, and we may be bringing the Mini-poopers as well, hope to see you all there!
All you from the northwest, no reason you can't hook up with the MTTS folks in Salt Lake and caravan in from there.... -

I am at the Mountain Lodge, and was looking at Dodge city lodging the looks to be all kinds available, Best Western, Holiday Inn Express and like four more...

it would be great of MINI to let us know where the events in LV and SLC are going to be staged, so we can get a room nearby.
Anyone hear anything? -

The route through Salt Lake seems weird. Coming North on I-15 from Las Vegas, you pass Provo/Orem and it's another 40 minutes North to SLC. BUT the next stop is in Grand Junction, CO, which means it's south again back through Provo and beyond before heading East toward Grand Junction. We will be back-tracking South for about an hour from SLC before finally heading, although it keeps the cars on the freeway.

I think we're going to run with the caravan from KC to Dodge, but rather than overnight there I think we're gonna push on thru to Winter Park, so we can enjoy the activities on Thursday and Friday with them, then join up with the MTTS folks on Sat, then back to WP for Sunday's events. If we're not too weary by then, we may take a couple more days and go tour parts of northern Colorado, up to Steamboat Springs or something, then wander back home again.

I may follow you on to WP, kinda had the same idea it all depends on what time the departure from KC will be.

Dave,
Looking forward to meeting you up in WP. You have a plan, a good plan.
We tried to hook up High Plain Raceway due to some interest with the MC2 folks for MTTS, but it was not to happen.
Perhaps we will try an HPR day for MITM 6, we shall see.

If you don't mind I'd like to join your little caravan.I'm driving by myself so I think having some company on the road will be good for me...

Well, if we're riding with the MTTS folks from New York, Atlanta, Chicago and so on, it won't be a little caravan! But you're welcome to ride along, of course!
Doc, you running single too, or will you have a co-pilot?
I look forward to meeting all of you folks, I've talked with most of you for years here and on the NAMeless site, and I may have met some of you in South Dakota, but we were on a slightly different schedule since my wife works nights, we didn't make it to any of the morning breakfasts, runs or anything....
For MITM/MTTS we've agreed that I'm free to do whatever I want in the mornings, I just have to circle back at lunch time and get her and the Mini-poopers for the afternoons/evenings. Should be a workable plan.....
Don, I wish we could have worked out a way to go to HPR for even a half-day, I'm really looking forward to running on that track someday, but running in August in the heat isn't much fun anyway, so doing it in conjuntion with some other event earlier in the year might work better for me - I don't do heat very well anymore......
I hope the MTTS folks have this stuff worked out better than it looks so far, how were the events in 2008? -

Just tossing out these maps for general information...
Consider staying in Winter Park with us at MITM. Nice rooms, low rates and great views. www.MINIsInTheMountains.com -
