Any thoughts on sound difference between just a muffler delete vs the $2000 JCW Pro Exhaust? I know the JCW pro exhaust comes with a tune, but the main thing I am interested in is sound. On my 2019 MCS F 57 I have deleted my muffler for $150 and put on chrome split tips. Looks good, has a bit of a drone at highway speeds, so considering going with the JCW pro exhaust so I can “switch on” the muffler when I get tired of the drone.
If I were going to spend that kind of money I would get a good muffler from Detroit Tuned. They have a couple that would sound good for around $600 and then get one of their tunes they sale. I believe it would be a more aggressive tune. You could give them a call and find out witch exhaust sounds good with out droning. Unless your Mini is still under warranty then maybe the JCW set up.
2 grand for an exhaust? Now I know what the F stands for in F 57. You can get a much better exhaust for less than 2 grand, don’t pay Dealership JCW Retail prices !
It does come with a tune so that helps. If you think 2k is bad for a MINI....I was at the Indian dealer good guys. I asked the service about new exhaust for my Roadmaster. It was going to be $1800 by the time they were done. But it comes with a tune and slightly deferent intake. But it looks like DT could do it cheeper. The only thing is retaining the warranty
The JCW exhaust is under $1000 right now at MINI dealers. Someone mentioned that he was quoted 1250 installed at a MINI dealer. Sent from my SM-N970U using Tapatalk
If you order the JCW Pro exhaust. It comes on a pallet and the box is big. There's a youtube unboxing video of it. Sent from my SM-N970U using Tapatalk
