I gotta say, I about never expected Captain Beefheart to ever show up in this list. Brings back some really fuzzy memories.

One of my all-time favorites, and your tax dollars at work:

(disclaimer: it's not really your tax dollars but rather people in the Navy with too much free-time) -
This was on the radio today. Forgot how funny it is.

Lately I've been going back and exploring my collection of early alternative music.
An early trendsetter, precursor to the Seattle scene

Very early version ...

And one of the bands that started it all..

Oh yeah, I'd be remiss if I didn't mention one of the best bands no one has heard of.
This is a perfect pop song too.

Lot's of cool songs! Keep 'em coming!
I may soon be able to fill the iPod to 10% :rolleyes5: -
I remember NRBQ.
I got two new (to me) albums in this week....nice change of pace. Ted Hawkins was a busker in Venice Beach, CA. He rarely recorded and his most 'successful' US work was done months before he passed. Simple guitar but powerful voice.

[ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUzjbHvwHoE[/ame]
And Narciso Yepes, classical Spanish guitar. I remember him from an album my dad brought home as a kid from his stops overseas while in the USN.
