I only use the synthetic version. Too darned many seeds in that one. If you get this check engine light you'll understand.

The hardcore Brits have always used Castrol R in race engines for decades and that is castor-oil based with the most lovely smell out the exhaust. Some two stoke bike race engines were run on it for 'scrambling' (ie, motocrossing before melodramatic jumps were added) and they really smelt strongly. Gorgeous.
