This is true - and with rotor edge temps exceeding 1000* at the track even on our BDM kits, 250F is not enough. If you switch to aircraft hardware will all metal locking nuts, you would be fine. This assumes that the cross section of the pistons, etc. all match up with the OEM system, otherwise you'll have bias issues (at least on the track).

BBK rotor hardware
TSW uses aircraft bolts and locking nuts to mount the rotor to the top hat. There is no need for wire on this setup and the aircraft bolts/nuts can be reused many times. -

Why would I want a FORD POS on my MINI?
TSw has some very well thought out kits for a lot less effort. -

It was what I expected. Your project is a good read. The commentary adds and detracts, but it is humorous to me.
No offense in anyway intended. -

Much better calipers available is what I am saying. Why settle for a Ford floating caliper.
Not like Ford is known for there stellar designs.
Have fun! -
While this is an interesting exercise I'd like to know what you have gained besides a larger rotor and red caliper. The same thing could have been accomplished with the kit Ireland has that uses a larger rotor and includes a dogbone to relocate the MINI caliper.
What was the goal? -
