Good fuel injector cleaner -- Techron -- should have the oil changed *after* using the stuff because the cleaner increases oil contamination. The cleaner doesn't burn but is intended to flash to vapor in the combustion chamber then afterwards turn back into a liquid as it comes in contact with the cooler surfaces and in doing so remove deposits.
