My Mini was a toy and I use that adjective in a good way...of course I do like to drive my toys every day!! Sweet; in going through all the papers I found the receipt from FM for the complete intake with the manual boost control to boot, thought it had that since it has a boost gauge installed too!! So other than it appears the previous owner washed it with river water and the time I will be spending with a clay bar to remove Freckles freckles, it's looking pretty darn good, fingers crossed!! Oh and about to order a set of 15x8 Enkei PFO1s with a fresh set of 225/45/15 Toyo R1Rs to replace the wagon wheels and slap worn out Hankooks....lol Anyone interested in a set of 17 inch Racing Hart wheels?
Those are some big tires, but I'd guess your roadster has the power to handle them. I went from the stock 185 tire to a 205 performance tire & for my low powered roadster it actually hurt the performance. Too much grip. I like my cars to move around a bit so I dropped back to 195 Yokoblama S drives. Now my car moves around a bit & my smile is back when I drive it. Since you are getting new wheels & tires consider a good alignment. Over on M.net there are some good ones listed. I believe FM also has some on the site. I hope you plan on coming over for MOTD this year, love to check out your new toy.
Here is a pic of the exact same set up on my car from Good Win racing's site. Wanted RPF1s but they don't make them in 15x8 and 949 6uls are all backordered until mid to late March...so, I went for these....Blimey will be jealous...lol
I really like the new wheel and tire combo. Looking forward to seeing what else you do once you get them on your Mazda.
Thanks, the above pic is off their site, but it is the same color MSM with the wheels and tires on it. Note the wheels don't weigh but like 13.2 pounds each, so this is not a heavy wheel tire combo...
Looks good, & much lighter than my panasports. I'm just a sucker for that old school minilite look. Think Nathan's going to need a Miata sub-forum.
Friend of mine has the Panasports on his red NA he bought new, wheels are sweet annnd pricey!! What size are yours? ....and yea I was thinking Nathan should too...lol
Mine are 15x7. A good friend of mine who was a Moss dealer sold them to me for his cost during one of Moss' annual sales about 12 years ago. If I remember right they were about $115 each which is as cheap as I've ever seen them.
Looked for a set for the Mini way back when and they weren't BBS expensive but high compared to say the Enkeis, of course their build process takes longer too. Quality pieces indeed. You stole yours!
...they do not make RPF1s in 15x8 Flagboy. Lol Hey ya want to help me install a Hard Dog SCCA approved rollbar?
