Yeah, prejudice against skinny people is just wrong - they probably can't help themselves and have a defective gene or something. Some may even be just 'small-boned'. We just have to hope for a cure in the future.

I do wave at all other Minis - though, obviously not if they don't have headlamp eyelashes. I mean, if they don't even respect themselves enough to look their best, it's doing them no favors to suggest they fit in anywhere but the dog pound.

    Keep the faith!

It's not the person we're making fun of, it's their skinniness. I still wave at skinny people, even if I find their skinniness unattractive and offensive. Skinny people can be just as enthusiastic as nonskinny people, but it's a different dynamic. It's not to say that some skinny people are just as jolly as the rest of us, but there is a smaller percentage of jolly skinny people than us better fed folks. There are some skinny people on here that I've grown to like, a few of them even more than some of the corpulent ones here, and I've forgotten that they are in fact skinny.

Hay I have to keep up the tradition! My step dad sold Indians till Indian went under in 53. I tried to drag him in to a Harley shop when he was in his 80's that was a mistake. My mom bought one of my kids a electric motorcycle for Christmas, it was a Harley, I put it together but replaced the Harley stickers with Indian stickers. We he would not stand for one of the boys to have a Harley, even a fake one.
He had lots of stories of the old days and the Indian, Harley wars.
Wander into the wrong place with out your buds meant trouble. Competition on and off the track. My Dad also road an Indian.

I have friends that ride Harleys, they understand, Its a family tradition.

    Yea Harley's suck.......:biggrin5:

Harleys don't suck. It's the majority of people that buy Harleys that suck!

Doesn't matter. Someone said you did, and it's on the Internet.

Ok kids, I got an F56S as a loaner car. Big differences I notice are:
The car doesn't handle as well as my R56. It feels sluggish with the power delivery, and when it hits it's not as quick as mine. The turbo sounds better than mine. The interior took a step down compared to the previous versions. I like the led ring around the center, what should be a speedo but is replaced by an ugly stereo/info screen, but i'm thinking that would get old eventually. I have it set on the engine speed setting and it's pretty cool :) . The "secret" compartment above the glove box is alot smaller than the previous versions, it's almost unusable.
I just don't care for the exterior styling. The care feels HUGE compared to the R56. I will say, it's a good feeling car. It's still fun, just not AS fun. The ride is super soft. No longer sporty feeling. Sportier than lets say, a carolla... But thats not saying too much.
All in all it's a decent car. Would I want one? No.

OH! the seats are amazing. I'd love to swap mine out for the new ones. But thats all I'd take from the F56.

To get that character back, you need to spring for the sport suspension.

That being said, the F56 is a much easier car for the majority of the populace to deal with on a daily basis, and MINI still lets you build them the way you want, thankfully.

It's the S model, so I figured the springs were the sport springs. But all in all the majority should love it. It is easier to drive...

I thought I had read somewhere that the sport suspenders were no longer available. If that is true it's a real what the fark move by BMW/MINI. Can anyone confirm that?

I've been reading that the sport suspension in not an option on the 2016, but haven't confirmed it. I do have the sport suspension on my car and it handles every bit as well as my '07 with the JCW (sport) suspension. I still need/want to upgrade my RSB and possibly a set of Cravenspeed or NM springs. As far as turbo noise, I'm not sure what you're talking about. Can't hear mine even with the Cravenspeed intake. As far as the center instrument, the only time I looked at it on my '07 was to check the gas gauge. I find the info on said center display much more useful than the speedo the retro styling not withstanding. I can take or leave the "disco" ring. I miss do the window switches in the center stack though.

I can hear the turbo as well as that turbo fluttering when I let off the gas a little, Maybe she has a leak  It's an auto so maybe that makes a difference. I don't look at my speedo/radio very often either, but I think the speedo looks better than what they stuck in it's place. Speaking of the gas guage, It's ok, but I like the little dial in my R56.
The handling of this S not as crisp and quick as the R56. It does ride nice and smooth though, I guess thats a plus for a DD.

I think the Sports Suspension is now the Dynamic Damper Control option.

The DDC compared to stock suspension is -10% at low setting and +10% at firm. The sport suspension is +30% all the time. Plus, with the additional electronics involved with the DDC, you're probably pretty much screwed if you want to change to aftermarket shocks.

There is no sports suspension option in the configurators for an F56 S.
