    Thought Id start a thread that I can update as I do work to my r53. Here is my intro thread. And now my car.

    cool, I have what looks like the same shift knob (amazon, 15 bucks, needs thread locker on all set screws or you pull it off once a week).

    Interesting speaker conversion - my son's R53 has the entry level audio setup and we're looking at getting things upgraded a little, but keep the trunk space completely open (no mega amps and woofers, as we prefer to hear the super charger and exhaust sounds)

    I honestly hate that knob. If anyone wants it Ill let it go cheap. I had a delrin knob in my Miata that I really liked, but it was thread 10x1.25 so I drilled it out and made my own set screw to work with the MINI.

    The speakers are kicker 6.5 inch that I bought from walmart for like $70. They sound pretty good, that and my head unit is all I have and Im really happy with it. The rear speakers are pretty decent stock. My front ones were torn though.
