    The Mynes Team will be in Florida from June 4th thru June 16, 2013 (tenatively). If you want to get your MINI tuned and happen to live in FL, here's an opportunity to get your MINI checked-out in person and tuned in-person by the Mynes Team using the Bytetronik FA-Lite Kits.

    The guys will be visiting Thumper and Beaner (exact dates are unknown yet b/c it's a floating schedule depending on a few factors), but if you're interested, please contact Thumper460 (Northern Florida) or Beaner (Southern Florida) and get your name on the short list - they are helping with coordinating this heculean effort

    We are offering a discounted package deal to our friends and customer: $600.00 for the FA-Lite Kit and the custom tune (*dyno time not included*).
    => Normal price for this is $950 = $450 for the FA-Lite, $300 for the CRM + $200 for the Innovate <=
    => We have a mobile Innovate kit so there is no requirement for the customer to buy (but the AFR Kit is still highly recommended and very useful to have in your MINI).
    => We will perform road-tunes and inspect your MINI for hardware issues.
    => Make sure you have a good belt and fresh oil in your MINI.

    Below is what goes on with a Custom Tuning Session:Whenever we do a Custom Tuning, customers are amazed at the amount of care and attention we take on each car. So for those who are curious about the entire process, here are some of the stuff that happens during a typical custom tune session.

    Pre-Run Visual inspection.
    - Check the oil level make sure everything is up to par
    - Perform visual inspection for add'l leaks in and around the engine bay
    - ***Check with customer to see what type of gas is in the vehicle.

    ECU Health check:
    - Hook up the Bytetronik Data Logger, the GT1& Autologic (Factory-spec BMW diagnostic tool) to check the current status of the ecu
    - If fault codes are present, they are noted and passed on to the customers.
    - If hard faults on items that can affect the integrity of the car, then those issues are addressed before we move forward with the session.

    Actual tuning session (applies for both dyno and road-tunes):
    - Perform two initial runs and data log both runs. If the variation is too great, then that'll tell us something about the cooling system of the vehicle as well.
    - During each run, we actively monitor the AFR, Inlet air temp, knock sensor voltages and Knock Noise levels (etc) to ensure that the car is behaving normally.
    - If all the above values are within range, then we proceed with the actual tuning of the maps.

    - The Bytetronik tuning software allows us to change many of the parameters inside the ECU, they include (but not limited) to the following:
    * Main fuel map
    * Fan speed ON/OFF Temperatures &
    * Idle speed adjustment (permanently in memory)
    * Fuel vs RPM tables
    * Injector multiplier & Injector Battery Compensation (Injector lag time compensation)
    * Fuel Mileage Multiplier (after adjusting Injector Scaling for larger 440cc/550cc injectors)
    * Torque limiter maps & tables
    * Rev Limiter
    * Throttle tables and Ignition maps and tables,
    * Knock Filters & Knock Energy Ignition Timing Tables
    * Cranking Enrichment Tables
    * Post-Start Fueling Tables

    - During each tune, we once again monitor all the values and will stop the run if parameters are out of range.
    - Since the Bytetronik can flash the ecu in 45 seconds, we can make adjustments and do multiple runs to make sure the car is running optimal AFR.
    - We tune for safe and consistent power while maintaining max fuel efficiency. In some case, it may take us 3 to 5 runs to get the AFR dialed in to our satisfaction.

    Email Beaner or Thumper460 .. Or shoot us a PM.

    Thanks

    Thumper
