Nice job MrJim...
I like the burble....
The wrap, is it a titanium metal weave or a fiberglass wrap that is colored to look metallic? -

I believe it's fiberglass and something else, judging by the way it made me itch when I was done, lol. The DEI website has the full breakdown on it.

Very nice Mr.Jim, I am extremely happy with my V2 as well, especially the "popping and burble". It really runs nice and doesn't let out its mean and aggresive tone untill I put the peddle down, I am running a JCW catback so not sure how others sound. The best thing is by using the stock cat I have no CEL's

They did a great job on the welding and fitment too. I've got to install the Innovation AFR gauge next.

Good job on the heat wrap... I'll have to do that next to mine as well.
The V2 with the JCW Exhaust is one of my favorite combo
The current batch of V2's will ship out Feb 22nd, still have a couple of units available
Thanks Jim for the install pics. -

Would this be a valid mod if you plan on running the OEM exhaust one ball mod?

Why not, header is a header. its going to improve performance regardless of the exhaust behind it.
Probably a flatter torque curve plus a header created sound is always good. -
The wrapping of any part of the exhaust system will help to maintain exhaust velocity and temperatures. So even wrapping an oem exhaust manifold/hedder will benefit.
I have wrapped 3 oem MINI hedders CAT up and like the aftermarket hedder you could almost grasp the primary tube even after an all day drive and not get burned. It helped control the heat that well.
I am sure Mr.Jim can contest to this?
The stainless steel clamps need a bit of nurturing using six figures, 3 hands 2 needle nose pliers and dikes to get them really tight.
And itching is a sign that the wrap job was well done!
Sorry I have looked around and can't seem to find the oem wrap picture of mine? I know it is posted on a forum somewhere a few years ago? -

I think it must be, cause I tried to really tighten the first two and really buggered them up. Had to cut off and put new ones. -
