I wonder if any of the other websites in IB's portfolio run similar software as NAM..given it was purchased, rather than organically grown in-house by IB. I kinda suspect that given the history of NAM, there are some major differences....and the folks at IB don't know it as well as the other sites they support/own.
Then again this entire situation does sound a bit like a parable...
Folks love mini, folks start mini site...big company buys mini site, then since working for somebody else is never as good, site starts to slip.....the site grown and nourished grows and starts to prosper, with all organic growth...kinda like the Mini brand for the first few years!!
Just proves...if you are going to run/own a bussiness, you need to have love for it, so you can routinely give 110%!! No matter how dedicated an employee is, they just work someplace...but an owner has a reason to do it right!!

NAM was letting me in a few days ago, but I can't get in again. Seems they haven't managed to find and resolve their problem yet.
Running my Linux net book via Firefox. But it appears to work for Opera browser. -
I can't believe it hasn't been fixed yet.

IB is missing a huge opportunity...
They own vBullitin as well. Seems that they should be letting all thier forums that use vBullitin know about the latest and greatest in security, threat, configuration and optional items monthly. Share best practices so to speak. But I'm guessing they don't.
I looked at the quantcast numbers for some of thier other automotive sites, and some have been hit, and some haven't. Seems that each site is an island with little information flow among them.
Sad, and a missed opportunity to really improve the breed.

Doc, IB has an internal team that manages the back end for all their sites. The listed "admins" for a site only have very basic permissions and cannot access the server for any back end work.
-
If that's the case...

The block is gone it seems.

My son is taking a business trip to NYC and staying in a Hotel. My worst fear is that he brings those buggers home with him. Uggg.

I'm not sure which is worse. The bug itself, or the fact that it is actually on someone's skin.
