    Yeah, I know. Just think it's funny that it's legal to sell the papers, but not to have it on a plate, especially when I added a note explaining it was because the MINI had a short wheelbase and was good at zig-zagging...

    Really frustrating thing is when I see the pick up truck down the street with a plate that sez "KILL M ALL"...

    Thank goodness there are state employees out there protecting our morality.

    Mine is my handle. If you look up the proper spelling (QUIXOTIC) it's defined as "seeking perfection in ways that most would consider foolish. OR it is a conjunction of QUIck and eXOTIC.. either way, it fits perfectly!

    In Calif, you can go to the DMV web site and experiment online to find something that works for you and it'll alert you if it has been spoken for. There is a difference in the prices of different personalized plates based on the background and who the extra funds support. Remember that these are an additional fee each year. The basic personalized plate without the whale tail or other background is pretty reasonable tho..

    Here in VA we also can try out different combinations on the DMV website and even order it from there. Since I am such at TopGear nut I went with MNI STIG on mine and my son has NXT STIG on his truck.

    One really good one I just recently saw on a Mustang was HI OFCR. I have also seen on a MINI NOT BIG

    It's hard to teach an old dog change, so I have kept with my AVOCET for 25 years on Subaru, Audi, and now my MINI Roadster here in Virginia. I acquired the name during my "birding" days. It winters in VA on the coast and nests in Utah and surroundings--a most elegant bird in my opinion.
