I think going down with your Dad is really cool & you should do it. Let him drive some it won't kill you. Send Dad to the doctor & get a scrip for some transderm scop patches. They really do work. When my wife was my co-driver in pro rallies they saved the day for us.

I would let him drive some of it, one of the few people I trust with me car.
I will check out that prescription. I think that may be the easiest solution -
My dad went with us 2 years ago and it was great. He's an old gear head, current fun car is a 2011 Mustang with the performance package, and he had a blast. He understood that it was "my" event and I drove most of the time. But he drove my car, and my husbands, a few times and everyone had a good time. I think anyone who has any interest at all in cars, or motorcycles, would have a great time!

Dad's Victory is a very capable motorcycle...but you didn't include an option of him riding it to the Dragon? That would make a great adventure, if he's healthy enough to undertake it. Lots of web-advice available to help prepare for such an undertaking.
Long distance motorcycling is my "other" hobby...so it's the first thing that occurred to me. If you're traveling together, he wouldn't really need to deal with how to pack stuff on the bike, just toss it in the MINI. -

We talked about him riding down with me and which ever other minis I go with. He is 51 so not old, he however raced motocross for many years and injured his left knee badly. So after a while it starts hurting. We would probably take the bike off for the last two hours or so of the trip down. But having the mini there is like the support vehicle
I am thinking a combination of him riding the bike and the patch is the best option. He gets the experience the dragon on two vehicles, jealous! -

How about , you let him drive your MINI around the block a couple of times, that should be enough for the addiction to start, he will have no choice but to trade the Victory in and get his own MINI and the two of you can cruise the Dragon in style?

He has driven my car and really does like minis. He has a 2010 camaro ss and recently got the bike.... I was trying to get him to get a GP as there were two for sale in my area... But he wanted the bike.
If he was able to just drive the GP it might have swayed him, oh well lol
For the past several months I tried to have him sell the camaro for the 2013 GP but that didn't work either! He is too stubborn for me! -

Still think he should have a GP instead. But that is besides the point!
